2018-2019 Concert Schedule

This season will include music by Bach, Beethoven, Boccherini, Haydn, Mozart, our own Anthony Newman, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi.

The October concert will present Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, his Sinfonia Concertante for violin, viola, and chamber orchestra, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, arranged for chamber orchestra. November’s concert will feature Haydn’s final keyboard concerto in D and movements from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, arranged for chamber orchestra. The Holiday Concert in December is devoted to Vivaldi: The Four Seasons as well as a double and a triple concerto for strings.

The first concert of 2019, in March, will feature pianist Vladimir Feltsman playing the music of Bach and Chopin. In April, we will hear two compositions for guitar, Boccherini’s Fandango quintet and Vivaldi’s guitar concerto in D, as well as a new piece by Anthony Newman, the Easter Quintet. We will conclude in May with Bach’s Trio Sonata, Saint-Saëns’s Septet for piano, trumpet, and strings, and Bach’s grand Magnificat.
