Our performance space, the Parish House


All performances take place in the acoustically excellent Fellowship Room in the Parish House of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 382 Cantitoe Street, Bedford, NY 10506. Ample free parking is provided just a few steps from the Parish House.

 

 


Directions:

From New York City or Lower Westchester County

St. Matthew’s – viewed from Route 22

via I-684—Take I-684 north to Exit 4 (Route 172, Bedford and Mount Kisco). Off the ramp, turn right onto Route 172. Proceed 1.6 miles to a traffic light (a Shell station is on the right). Turn left onto Rtes. 172/22. Proceed 1.0 miles passing through one traffic light and bearing left at the second light to follow Route 22. Bedford’s Village Green will be on your right. From the Green, follow Route 22 North 1.5 miles. St. Matthew’s Church is on your right, just after the intersection of Route 22 with Bedford Center Road at the Bedford Cross.

From New York City or Lower Westchester County via the Saw Mill Parkway—Take the Saw Mill Parkway north to Exit 39 (Route 117, Bedford Hills). At the top of the ramp, turn right, then turn left at the first traffic light. (Immediately after this turn, the Fire Department will be on your right.) You very quickly come to stop sign; turn right here. This will put you on Main Street, which quickly becomes Bedford Center Road. Proceed 2.8 miles on Main Street/Bedford Center to the fork in the road at Bedford Cross. Bear left at the fork and then turn left onto Route 22. St. Matthew’s Church is on your right.

From Greenwich CT—Take North Street north into New York State, where it becomes Bedford Banksville Road and then Greenwich Street. Greenwich Street terminates at a traffic light with St. Patrick School on your right. Turn right at the traffic light, then bear left at the next traffic light to follow Route 22. Bedford’s Village Green will be on your right. From the Green, follow Route 22 North 1.5 miles. St. Matthew’s Church is on your right, just after the intersection of Route 22 with Bedford Center Road at the Bedford Cross.

From Stamford and Points East in CT—Take the Merritt Parkway South to Exit 34, Long Ridge Road. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto CT Route 104. Follow this, into New York State, for approximately 7.8 miles. Long Ridge Road terminates at a traffic light with a Mobil Station on your left. Turn left at the light onto Route 172, Pound Ridge Road. Proceed west on 172 for 0.8 miles, then bear right through Bedford Village. At the stop sign on the far side of the Village Green, go straight onto Route 22 North and continue for 1.4 miles. St. Matthew’s Church is on your right, just after the intersection of Route 22 with Bedford Center Road at the Bedford Cross.

From Northern Westchester and Upstate NY—Take I-684 South to Exit 6, Route 35, Katonah and Cross River. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light onto Route 35, cross over I-684 to the intersection with Route 22 South. Turn right onto Route 22 South. The church is 3.7 miles from this point. At 1.7 miles, you will pass The John Jay Homestead, on your left. Two-tenths of a mile thereafter, Route 22 bends sharply to the right. Continue 1.8 miles to the church (on your left).

From Rockland County—Cross the Hudson at the Tappan Zee Bridge and stay on I-287 East to I- 684 North, toward Brewster. The I-684 sign comes without much notice so note that it is after the White Plains exits. Follow I-684 North to Exit 4, Bedford and Mount Kisco, Route 172 and follow the directions (above) from New York City and Lower Westchester via I-287. Alternative from Rockland County—After crossing the Tappan Zee Bridge, the second exit will take you to the Saw Mill Parkway. This is a complicated interchange; just keep following the signs to the Saw Mill Parkway. Take the Parkway north, and then follow the directions (above) from New York City and Lower Westchester via the Saw Mill.
